COMPARE THE DETAIL

A clear view of
the specification.

We help you select the steel system, glazing and opening arrangement for your project. Compare the details below: windows and doors in the same family can have different specifications.

Start with the intended location.

Our Unico systems incorporate a thermal break for insulated external applications, with performance confirmed for your specification. Presto is non-thermal. Our internal doors and partitions are for interior use, so we select a suitable external system where weather and thermal performance are required.

THE FULL COLLECTION

Compare all 12 configurations.

Profile depth measures the frame from front to back. Glazing capacity is the overall glass or sealed-unit thickness, separate from individual pane thickness. We confirm a compatible glass build-up for your chosen system and opening.

Steel windows and doors supplied by MQ. Thermal values apply to the stated reference assembly; your final specification confirms performance for the agreed design.

We confirm final sizes, glazing, hardware, finish and performance in your quotation and approved drawings.

GLAZING

Capacity is not compatibility.

We match the glass type, size and weight with the right beads and gaskets for your assembly. Loft and Loft Folding use 6 or 8 mm single glass; we confirm Norm Slide and Norm Pivot glazing in your specification.

THERMAL PERFORMANCE

Compare the same value.

Uw describes a complete window, Ud a complete door, Ug the glass and Uf the frame. The reference figures depend on the stated size and construction. We confirm the required whole-assembly performance for your design.

SAFETY & FUNCTION

Specify what the opening must do.

Tell us about impact safety, guarding, escape, security or fire requirements at the start. We develop the specification around the opening’s purpose. Our standard interior range is not supplied as certified fire doors; fire-protection glass alone does not create a fire-rated assembly.

PRODUCT DETAIL

Technical documents.

Open an MQ specification sheet for the system you are considering. Each sheet brings together its application, frame depth, glazing limits and points to confirm. Final drawings and order-specific instructions are agreed with your quotation.

We work from the requirements set for your project. Building requirements depend on location, use and the applicable regulatory regime; the agreed construction design and approvals remain part of the project process.

Turn the details into a clear specification.

Bring us your drawings, opening sizes and performance requirements. We help agree the product schedule and the scope for survey, supply and installation.

Bring the details together

One opening, or a whole project.

Choose a system, see the requested layout and bring your openings into one schedule. Choose supply only or an installation quotation from our Sutton team.
