We help you turn a design idea into a coordinated steel window and door specification. You have a Sutton team to discuss the product, agree the scope and follow up when something needs attention.
We clarify whether each opening is internal or external, how it should operate and the thermal, safety, privacy or access requirements. We then match those needs to a suitable steel system and glazing specification.
We bring item references, frame sizes, opening directions, glass, finishes, bars and hardware into one schedule. Your approved drawings and specification give everyone a common record to work from.
We set out supply and the services you choose, including any survey, delivery and installation. Access equipment, removal, making good and other preparation are addressed expressly, rather than left as assumptions.
Send us your plans, elevations or preliminary measurements, along with photographs and the project postcode. Tell us about finished floor levels, existing openings and any requirements from your designer or building control team.
Define who measures and who approves.
Before manufacture, we agree responsibility for the final survey, frame dimensions and drawing approval. We check the requested configuration with the fabricator and record the agreed glass, hardware, thresholds and finish. Changes are put in writing so the order follows the approved detail.
Bring your builder or installer into the discussion.
Where it forms part of our agreed service, we coordinate the relevant opening, support, sill, threshold and perimeter-sealing information with your appointed team. Structural design, permissions and building approvals remain with the appropriately appointed parties.
Plan access, delivery and fitting.
We discuss handling, storage, lifting access, site readiness and the sequence of work before arrangements are confirmed. Your quotation identifies who is responsible for each part. Lead times and installation dates are agreed against the specification and supplier programme.
Check and hand over.
Where we install, we check the operation and the completed work within our scope, explain care requirements and identify any outstanding agreed items. Supply-only customers receive the relevant product information for their own installer.
INSTALLATION IS PART OF THE DETAIL
Fixing. Sealing. Drainage.
For external openings, the installation detail addresses secure support and fixing, insulation, internal air and vapour control, and external weather protection. Compatible tapes, membranes and seals are selected for the actual system and wall construction, with required drainage paths kept clear.
Contact MQ with your order or request reference and the item or room affected. Tell us what is happening, when it started and whether it relates to opening, locking, draughts, moisture, glass, hardware or the finish. Send clear photographs or a short video where you can do so safely.
Review the information.
We check the agreed specification, product details and installation scope, and ask for the information needed to understand the issue. Moisture or condensation, for example, needs context before a cause is attributed.
Agree the investigation.
We explain whether the next step is an operating check, technical review or a site assessment. We consider the product, installation and building interfaces rather than assuming the cause from a symptom alone.
Coordinate the appropriate remedy.
Where a product claim is relevant, we coordinate the technical information with the fabricator. Where the issue concerns our installation work, we review that work. We explain the proposed action and any further information required.
Make costs and responsibilities clear.
Any proposed chargeable visit or work outside the agreed cover is explained before you authorise it. This does not affect your statutory rights or remedies.
Safety comes first.
If glass, a frame or a moving part appears unsafe, stop using the opening and keep people clear. Contact us for the next step. Do not attempt an adjustment or inspection that puts you at risk.
Warranty and ongoing care
We provide the applicable product warranty and care terms for the items ordered. Product cover and installation workmanship are separate matters; the relevant terms and responsibilities are recorded with your order. Tell us about an issue promptly so we can review it with the right information.
Following the care instructions, keeping drainage clear and arranging the recommended maintenance helps the products remain in good working order. Your applicable statutory rights remain unaffected by a manufacturer warranty.
