Who is responsible

MQ Modern Living operates MQ Steel Windows and is responsible for the enquiry information we collect. Our registered company details are set out in our terms. Contact sales@mqmodernliving.com, telephone 020 8770 7924, or write to 17a Sutton Court Road, Sutton, SM1 4FG about your information.

Information you provide

A submitted project request contains the contact details you enter, your project information, the selected items and their specifications. If you email or call us, we also receive the information you choose to share. Please include only information relevant to the project and avoid confidential details about other people.

What happens when you save a request

Submitting the planner saves your contact details and specification in the website’s hosted database so MQ Modern Living can review the request. You receive a reference and a private specification link. Anyone with that link can view the specification, although your contact details are not displayed there. Keep the link private and avoid placing personal details in item names or specification notes.

Saving does not automatically send an email. Clicking an email link opens your email app; you decide whether to send the message. Your email provider then processes that communication under its own privacy terms.

Why we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond to you, assess requirements and prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or performing a contract if you later place an order. For business contacts and general questions, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to relevant enquiries and managing customer relationships. We may also use necessary technical records for our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and reliable, and retain records where required by law.

An enquiry does not sign you up to marketing. We do not use this form to obtain bundled marketing consent or make automated purchasing decisions about you.

Storage and service providers

The website’s hosting and database providers process information to operate and secure the service. Enquiry information is available to those handling your project for MQ Modern Living. Where supplier or installation input is needed to prepare a quotation, we use the project information necessary for that purpose. We do not sell your enquiry information.

Service providers may process technical or enquiry information in countries outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer is involved, applicable data protection safeguards are required. Contact us if you need information about the providers or safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep information

We retain enquiry information while it is needed to respond to the project, follow up a quotation, manage any resulting order and meet applicable record-keeping or legal requirements. The period depends on whether the enquiry becomes an order and whether records are needed to resolve a question or dispute. Contact us to request deletion of an enquiry that is no longer needed.

Browser storage and external links

The planner uses browser local storage to remember draft item specifications on your device. Contact details are not stored in that draft. See our cookies and browser storage page for how to remove it. We have not added advertising or analytics trackers. Following a manufacturer, maps or other external link takes you to a separate service with its own privacy terms.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you can request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to its use. Contact us using the details above. We may need to confirm your identity before handling a request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If the website’s use of information changes, we will update this notice.
