01Clean with compatible materials.
Use the cleaning method specified for your frame coating, glass and fittings. The steel manual describes gentle cleaning with water and a mild cleaning agent. Avoid abrasive pads, scraping or unapproved chemicals that could affect the finish, gaskets or sealants. Ask us if you are unsure about a product.
02Protect the finish during other work.
Keep building dust, wet materials and decoration products away from the joinery. Agree suitable protection and the removal of protective films with your installer, following the applicable product instructions. Report accidental coating damage before attempting to cover or repair it.
03Keep required outlets clear.
Observe accessible drainage openings and remove loose surface debris only where you can do so safely and in line with the care instructions. Keep ventilation paths clear. If you cannot identify an outlet, ask before applying sealant, paint or trim near it.
04Look after moving parts and seals.
Follow the maintenance instructions for the exact hinges, locks, gaskets and other hardware supplied. Use only the specified compatible products and method. If an opening becomes difficult to use, stop forcing it and contact us; alignment and adjustment may need a competent installer.
Use safe access for every check.
Observe from a safe position and use the opening normally. Leave work at height, glass removal, fixing checks and hardware adjustments to a competent person with the appropriate access and instructions.
